Chris Palmer's senior executive background prior to Volvo, has been with large, global enterprises including Alstom Group and Lafarge S.A. Chris began his career in the auto industry in with General Motors and then Ford.
Born in Canada, Chris attended Kettering University where he earned his undergraduate degree. After relocating to the US, he attended Northwestern University’s acclaimed Kellogg School of Management, where he earned his MBA.
Worldwide travel has been a large part of Chris’s duties as a senior Human Resources executive. Key parts of Chris’s career have been to manage major decisions about executive talent, member of the decision apparatus about global organizational structures and he has led major change initiatives across the globe.
